Series M norma Europaea universaliter adhibita facta est. Haec catena ISO a SSM20 usque ad SSM450 praesto est. Series igitur plerisque requisitis tractationis mechanicae occurret. Haec catena, quamvis comparabilis cum DIN 8165, non est permutabilis cum aliis normis catenarum cylindricarum praecisionis. Praesto cum cylindris normalibus, magnis vel flangatis, etiam vulgo in forma manicae adhibetur, praesertim in transportatione lignorum. Materia chalybis carbonis praesto est.
